Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 16 May 2026 · What you can and can't do on tee-time.uk.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules of conduct for everyone using tee-time.uk (the "Service"), operated by Bednal Limited (company number 12582198). By using the Service you agree to follow this AUP.
This Policy supplements our Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Where any conflict arises with the Terms, the Terms prevail for the subject matter they govern. Definitions used in the Terms have the same meaning here.
1. General use
- You must use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with this AUP.
- You must be at least 18 years old, resident in the United Kingdom, and have the legal capacity to enter into our Terms.
- You must not impersonate anyone else, misrepresent your identity, or hold more than one Account.
2. Bookings
The Service exists so that real golfers can book real tee times at real clubs. You must not:
- Create a Booking you do not intend to play, or that you intend to resell or transfer to someone else for value;
- Create a Booking on behalf of another individual without that person's consent and accurate details;
- Use the Service to scout, speculate on, or hoard tee times across multiple Clubs at the same time of day;
- Repeatedly create and cancel Bookings in a way that abuses a Club's cancellation window;
- Submit deliberately false profile data (name, email, phone) when creating a Booking — the Club needs accurate data to contact you, and inaccurate data is a breach of our Terms.
3. Reviews and ratings
When you leave a course review on the Service:
- You must have actually played the course you are reviewing, in a reasonable time window before posting;
- Your review must be factually accurate to your honest experience;
- You must not post a review you have been paid or incentivised to post by the Club, its owners, or any party related to a competitor;
- You must not name or defame individual employees of a Club;
- You must not post personal data about anyone else without their explicit consent.
We may remove a review that breaches these rules, or that we have a good-faith reason to believe is fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful.
4. Social posts and open tee times
Where the Service allows you to post publicly (for example, an open tee time, a status, or a comment), you must not:
- Post content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, or that incites violence against any individual or group;
- Post content that is discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic;
- Post sexually explicit or pornographic content;
- Post other people's personal data without consent (including identifying photos in which they are recognisable);
- Post spam, repetitive content, or commercial advertising;
- Post content that infringes anyone's intellectual property rights;
- Use the social features to coordinate harassment, "review-bombing", or any other concerted abuse of a Club or user.
5. Security and technical constraints
To keep the Service working for everyone, you must not:
- Probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other security measures of the Service;
- Run automated programs (bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts) against the Service or any system it connects to;
- Send more requests than a human can reasonably produce using a standard browser;
- Attempt to discover or derive the source code of any part of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- Introduce malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious code into the Service;
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure or the third-party Clubs' systems;
- Attempt to interfere with another user's enjoyment of the Service.
6. Reporting violations
If you encounter content or behaviour on the Service that breaches this AUP, please report it to us at admin@bednal.com. Include enough detail (URLs, screenshots, dates) for us to investigate.
7. Consequences of breach
Depending on the severity of the breach and surrounding circumstances, we may:
- Remove or hide the offending content;
- Issue a warning;
- Temporarily suspend your Account;
- Permanently terminate your Account and refuse you future access to the Service;
- Report the matter to law-enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required or where the conduct may amount to a criminal offence.
For minor or first-time breaches we will usually try to give you a chance to put things right before taking severe action; for serious or repeat breaches we may act without notice.
8. Contact
